In the paper, attachments on compressor blades of turboshaft engine are analyzed, and a kind of cleaning medium is developed according to its characteristics. The cleaning medium is verified by experiments. This study lays a foundation for compressor performance recovery. Firstly, attachments on compressor blades are analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, thermogravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The analysis results show that there are obvious differences between attachments on guide blade areas and stator blade areas such as particle morphology, element content and organic types etc. Secondly, a new kind of water-based micro-emulsion cleaning agent is developed for removing the attachments according to their characteristics, and experimental results show that the novel cleaning agent has a good cleaning effect on the compressor attachments. Finally, metal corrosion resistance experiments are verified, and the results show that the novel cleaning agent has a good corrosion inhibition performance.
